Enhancer

Enhancer is based on the ontological consideration of materiality and space as a field with its own generative capacities and potentials. Gaia Radić questions the creation of subjectivity in this artistic research resulting in a site-specific installation engulfing the space. We witness a pre-subjective birth — the barrier between the inside and the outside is permeable, spread through not only by objects and apparatuses but by spatiality itself.

Within this field, space and body are treated as ontologically continuous. Space behaves like a body, and the body like a spatial condition: porous, tense, mutable. The work proposes a topology of the body instead of a hermetic anatomy —an arrangement of thresholds, folds, membranes, and transitions. These are sites where interior and exterior meet without clear demarcation.
Agency, if it can be said to exist at all, appears only in emergence. It does not belong to a speaking subject but surfaces as a residual trace of process—a proto-voice that registers intensity without communicating meaning. Expression precedes articulation; matter strains toward articulation before a subject capable of speech takes shape.
By foregrounding permeability, the work dissolves stable distinctions between self and environment, body and world. Rather than representing an event, Enhancer functions as a field that sustains it.
